I'm a Mommy in the 'Dale to 2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dogs, and 13 chickens (stop with the unlucky 13..it's a bakers dozen!) I refinish furniture by redoing, revamping, and restoring one good find at a time! It's my version of recycling! I don't scrapbook because I'm a perfectionist and I suck at printing out pictures so this is as good as it gets for my kid's timeline of their lives. I'm also a part time social worker and this is my therapy to vent to keep me from going completely crazy.

What I learned 9/14/14
9/14/14
1. I needs life like the grandpa in 'Charlie and the chocolate factory'. That never leaving the bed thing seems excellent.
2. Why must every kid friendly food be shaped in something over than it's natural form. Fruit snacks shaped like fruit. Real fruit shaped like squares. And dyno-shaped chicken nuggets.....don't get me started.
3. It's annoying to me when people announce they are leaving the social media world. It's as if they need people to beg them to stay, if you truly want to quit and delete it, just do it.
4. Funniest comment of the week from my sister in law while in my swagger wagon, admiring my stuff: "this is like hippie meets Lisa Frank". I'll take that as a compliment!
5. I've entered the "ma'am" stage of life. I want to go back to "Miss".
6 I try to learn things every day, unfortunately it comes at the price of 'unlearning' some other, important bit of information.
7. I'm the only person I know that takes a week vacation, completed 4 knitted scarves, 4 books, and read countless magazines. Thus proving my ADD.
DT product review
Star Snacks dried pineapples.
3.5 oz package
Purchased at Dollar Tree for $1.00
Initial thoughts:
Needed a sweet snack but not wanting to go completely unhealthy picking a candy bar.
I've purchased dried pineapples in past but usually in a bigger pack for more than $1.
These are product of Thailand but packaged in USA so subject to FDA of U. S. And many fruits are purchased overseas and brought into USA.
Overall impression:
Good buy for small package. They were not overly sweet, as some in past have been. Only compliant is possibility they are cheaper because of small size pieces.

D T product review
First, I had to dig out the dang box to see whole name because no where on actual product does it say Claudia Stevens.
Anyway, the box was big, the tube was small...0.3 Fl oz. It's a pet-peeve of mine when package is overly large. Waste of space and too much garbage.
So anyway, I digressed two days of lip plumper....nothing. Nothing. At. All.
Provides a tiny hint of pinkish color and some glossiness. Other that that nothing.
So finally I thought well I'll give it to my 9 yr old girl child (but on earth do women do if they don't have a daughter?!)
But before I hand it over I did a little product research.
First ingredient is hydrogenated polyisobutene. A little google search and yahoo answered!! (See that 2 big name drop... Hint: Hello I need paid to do this crap!!)
- Colorless, odorless, tasteless
- Emollient, moisturizer, restore skin suppleness
- Prevents Insensible Water Loss (IWL)
- MC 300 is an effective waterproofing agent
- Easily emulsifiable
- Pigment dispersing agent for decorative cosmetics
- Enhances SPF retention after water exposure
- Soluble in main sunscreen filters
- MC 30 has excellent spreadability and fast penetration into the skin
- Miscible with lipophilic substances
- Totally stable versus oxidation
- Stable across the pH range
- Non comedogenic
- Non irritant, non toxic, full inocuity
- Soft feel, non greasy
There's a big list of other stuff but nothing super bad. It's definitely not natural or organic in matter. But peeps it was at the Dollar Tree. So final analysis...if looking for plumper, it doesn't. Lip conditioning-- maybe. I tend to think anything 'conditions'. So if looking for some sheen and little gloss here's your stuff. And it's a Dolla!!! Unfortunately, this was purchased at Outer Banks, N. C. So if my 'Dale friends are dying to try this stuff text me or message me and I'll pick it up for you or do what I do....use it as an excuse to go searching in the tri-county area for it (sorry {not sorry} to hubs if you are reading this!)
And really I want to get paid to do this because look at my work environment. Someone make this happen! Later peeps....

What I learned 9/7/14
9/7/14
1. So making sure you don't step on condoms in Walmart parking lot is a thing now? Total yuck.
2. If you try to say to your mother you have very exciting news, she'll assume you are saying you are pregnant. Not that you found a Dollar Tree while on vacation. Sorry momma, Rich said no more kids. But the monkey I get will be an excellent grandbaby....er, grand-monkey?!
3. I'm nocturnal.
4. B12 shots give you amazing energy, but I never can sleep the night after I take it.
5. This whole back pain issue sucks ass.
6. iPhone screens that are cracked will slice your finger. Now I patiently (yes, if you know me you'll know patience isn't my virtue) wait for the new 6 to be released.
7. It's crazy that at 38 I fight over cool pens, stationary, and Lisa Frank stuff with my 9 yr old.
That's all folks...enjoy your week!

What I learned 8/31/14
8/31/14.
1. When there's a crazy acting person around it's best to just leave.... But you should probably check to see if they hit your car before you leave.
2. It's a said time in music when Ariana Grande opens the VMA's....."ohhhhhhhh" {in voice of Cat}.
3. Can I get a "a Thank you Lord". The kids went back to school.
4. I've concluded that laundry will never be all caught up in this house.
5. I get so tired of my bedroom being the dumping ground for everyone's crap.
6. Kids in general, but helpless babies for sure never deserve to be abused. I'll never understand this. Ever.
That's all I learned this week! Have a good one. Be blessed.
